Description
A glass teapot shows what is happening inside. You watch the leaves open, and you see the color of the tea grow darker. When it looks right, you lift out the filter.
The pot is made of borosilicate glass. This is the same glass used in laboratories, because it handles sudden changes in temperature. Pour boiling water into it straight from the kettle, or set it on a tealight warmer to keep the tea warm.
The filter is stainless steel with fine holes. It hangs all the way to the bottom of the pot. Many filters stop halfway, which means half a pot doesn’t brew properly. With this filter, even a small amount of water reaches all the leaves.
Lift the filter out when the tea is ready. That stops the brewing, so the tea doesn’t turn bitter while it stands.
Without the filter, the pot works as a jug. Use it for water with lemon, homemade iced tea, or juice at breakfast.
The pot holds 1.2 liters, about five cups. The glass and the filter are dishwasher safe.
