Description
The Steenwijck frying pan of 28 cm is large enough for four fried eggs, two steaks, or a big pancake that you can flip without breaking.
The pan is cast aluminum, with a thick base. A thin pan bends when it gets very hot, and then oil runs to the edge. This one stays flat, so the heat and the fat stay evenly spread.
The nonstick layer is reinforced with ceramic particles. It is tougher than a standard coating and lasts longer. Use a wooden or silicone spatula and the surface stays smooth for years. Metal tools scratch it.
You need very little butter or oil. Leftovers come loose with warm water and a soft sponge. You don’t need to scrub.
The pan is suitable for gas, electric and ceramic stoves. Let it cool before you wash it: putting a hot pan in cold water can damage any pan.
The handle is made of a heat-resistant material and stays cool on the stove.
