Description
Dumbbells are the most flexible weights for training at home. With this adjustable set, you have a range of weights in very little space.
The set has two short bars and a number of weight plates, 20 kilos in total. Each bar holds up to four plates per side. With all plates on one bar, you can lift up to ten kilos in each hand. With fewer plates, you start lighter, from about four kilos.
That range matters, because different exercises need different weights. A bicep curl needs less weight than a row or a squat. You change the plates in a few seconds.
The plates are held in place by star collars. You turn them by hand. You don’t need a tool, and changing weights takes about ten seconds.
The plates are cast iron with a plastic coating. Cast iron is heavy and compact. The coating protects your floor when you put the dumbbells down, and it makes less noise.
Start with a weight you can lift twelve times with good form. When that becomes easy, add a plate.
