Description
A utility knife is one of the most used tools in a home. You open boxes, cut carpet, trim wallpaper, and shorten a piece of rope or a tie wrap.
This knife has a metal body. Plastic knives bend and crack when you push hard. Metal stays firm and gives you control.
The blade is 18 millimeters wide and made of hardened steel. It slides out of the body by the length you need. A wheel on the side locks it in place. While you cut, the blade can’t slide back in or further out.
The blade has lines across it. When the tip gets dull, extend the blade, place the end in the slot at the back of the knife, and snap off the dull section. A fresh, sharp tip is ready. One blade gives you many fresh tips.
Ten spare blades come with the knife. They are stored in a small case.
Always cut away from your body and your other hand. Use a steel ruler as a guide for straight cuts.
Retract the blade fully when you put the knife down. Never leave it open in a drawer or a toolbox.
Wrap old blade sections in tape before you throw them away.
