Description
The set holds six cups and six saucers in glazed white porcelain. The walls are thicker than those of an everyday mug. That is on purpose: a thick wall stores heat, so the milk cools down more slowly and the layer of foam stays firm on top.
Each cup holds 180 ml. That is enough for a single or double shot with steamed milk, the size most coffee bars use for a cappuccino. The saucer has a shallow ring in the middle, so the cup doesn’t slide when you carry it to the table.
The cups are stackable. Six of them take up the room of two on a shelf. They are dishwasher safe and microwave safe, and the glaze doesn’t turn dull after many washes.
Warm the cups first for the best result. Fill them with hot water from the tap or the kettle, wait a minute, pour it out, and then make your coffee. The porcelain keeps that warmth for you.
Pair them with the espresso cups, set of 4, if you like both a small black coffee and a milky one.
