Description
A good tea towel absorbs water and leaves nothing behind. These towels are made of cotton with a tight weave.
Cotton absorbs water well. A tight weave means fewer loose fibers, so glasses and cutlery dry without lint. Loose weaves leave small fluffs on a wine glass.
New cotton is a little stiff and absorbs less. After two or three washes, the fibers open up, and the towels get softer and more absorbent. Wash them before first use.
Each towel measures 50 by 70 centimeters. That is large enough to dry a full rack of plates without changing towels halfway.
A loop is sewn into one corner. Hang the towel on a hook or the handle of the oven, so it dries between uses.
The set has four towels in one pattern. Choose blue stripe, green stripe or red check.
Wash the towels at sixty degrees. Hot water keeps them fresh and removes grease. Leave out fabric softener: it makes cotton less absorbent.
Use one towel for drying dishes and another for your hands. Change them every few days.
A good match for the stainless steel dish rack.
