Description
Magnetic tiles are a different way to build. Instead of stacking, the pieces click together at their edges. Children build flat shapes first and then fold them up into 3D forms.
The Kriebelbeest set has 60 tiles in squares, triangles and rectangles. Each edge has small magnets. They attract each other in every direction, so there is no wrong side. The tiles click together with a satisfying snap.
Children start by laying shapes on the floor. Soon they discover that a cross of six squares folds into a cube. Then come towers, houses, bridges and rockets.
The tiles are translucent and colored. Build near a window, and the light shines through them. The colors mix where tiles overlap.
The magnets are sealed inside the plastic frame and can’t come out. Every tile is welded closed. Even so, check the tiles now and then for cracks, and throw away any damaged tile.
Building with tiles trains spatial thinking, shapes and balance.
From 3 years.
The tiles combine well with the wooden block set, 100 pieces, and the wooden train with tracks: build a tunnel or a station.
Wipe them clean with a damp cloth.
