Description
Digging, filling, pouring and building: a sandbox keeps young children busy for hours. This set gives them the tools they need.
The set has eight pieces. There is a bucket, a spade, a rake, a sieve and four sand molds.
Everything is made of thick plastic. Cheap sand toys crack the first time a child sits or stands on them. These can take a foot, a fall and a summer in the sun.
The bucket has a line on the inside. Children learn that half full and full are different, and they fill the bucket to the line for a better sandcastle. The handle is strong and clicks firmly into its holes, so it doesn’t pop out when the bucket is full of wet sand.
The sieve separates fine sand from small stones and shells. Children love to see what stays behind.
The four molds make a shell, a star, a fish and a crab. Fill one with damp sand, press it down, turn it over and lift it off. Dry sand doesn’t hold its shape; add a little water first.
After play, rinse the toys and let them dry.
From 2 years.
