Description
A kettlebell is a ball of iron with a handle. It looks simple, but it trains your whole body at once: legs, hips, back, shoulders and grip.
The best-known exercise is the swing. You hold the kettlebell with two hands, swing it between your legs, and drive your hips forward to swing it up to chest height. The power comes from your hips, not your arms. It is a strong workout for your back and legs and it gets your heart going.
The handle of this kettlebell is wide. Two hands fit next to each other without squeezing. The handle is smooth, so it doesn’t tear the skin of your palms during a long set.
The bottom is flat. Between exercises, the kettlebell stands still instead of rolling over the floor.
The kettlebell has a coating that protects your floor and makes it a little quieter when you put it down.
It weighs 12 kilos. That is a good starting weight for most adults for swings, squats and lunges.
Learn the swing with a light weight and good form. Ask a trainer if you are not sure.
The yoga mat 6 mm gives a good base.
