Description
Good socks matter as much as good shoes on a long walk. These hiking socks are made of merino wool and built to prevent blisters.
Merino wool comes from merino sheep. Its fibers are much finer than normal wool, so it doesn’t itch. It absorbs moisture from your skin and lets it evaporate, which keeps your feet drier. It also resists bacteria, which are what cause the smell. After a full day of walking, the socks still smell fresh.
Blisters form where the sock rubs against your skin. That happens most at the heel and the ball of the foot. Here, the knit is double. The extra layer cushions each step and takes the friction.
The toe is seamless. A seam across the toes can rub and cause sore spots on a long walk. Without a seam, nothing presses.
You get two pairs in size 39 to 42.
Wash the socks at thirty degrees, inside out. Don’t put them in the dryer, so the wool keeps its shape.
A good match for the hiking poles, telescopic, and the backpack 30 liters.
