Description
A good watering can saves you trips to the tap. This one holds 10 liters, enough for a full border or a row of vegetables.
The rose is the round head with small holes at the end of the spout. It turns a stream of water into a soft shower. That matters for seedlings and young plants: a hard stream washes the soil away from their roots, or pushes them over.
Screw the rose off for older plants. The water then comes out in one stream, which you aim right at the base of the plant. The water goes into the soil where the roots are, not onto the leaves where it evaporates.
The handle runs along the full top of the can. Hold the back of it with one hand and the front with the other. A full can weighs over ten kilos, and with two hands you pour slowly and with control.
The can is made of sturdy green plastic. It doesn’t rust and won’t dent if it falls over.
For houseplants and a balcony, the watering can 5 liters, anthracite, is easier to handle.
