Description
A hammock is the best spot in the garden on a summer afternoon. This one is made of cotton and has spreader bars.
Spreader bars are the wooden bars at both ends. They keep the fabric wide open. In a hammock without bars, the fabric closes around you and you lie curled up like a banana. With bars, you lie flat and open, more like on a bed. It is also easier to get in and out.
The fabric is woven cotton. Cotton breathes. On a hot day, air moves through the fabric and you don’t stick to it. It is also soft against your skin.
The hammock measures 200 by 100 centimeters. One adult lies in it comfortably.
It carries up to 150 kilos.
Hang it between two strong trees, four to five meters apart. Or use a hammock stand if you have no trees. Hang it so the bottom is about half a meter above the ground when you lie in it.
Get in by sitting in the middle first, then swing your legs in.
Bring the hammock inside when it rains for a long time, and in winter. Cotton that stays wet can get mold.
