Description
Sawing, drilling and sanding go better on a stable surface at the right height. This folding workbench gives you that, and folds away when you are done.
The work surface is made of two halves. With the cranks at the front, you move them toward each other or apart. Place a plank between them and close the gap: the plank is clamped tight. That is the built-in vise. It also holds round objects, like a pipe or a post, and wide ones, like a door on its edge.
The bench is 78 centimeters high, a good height for sawing and sanding without bending.
The steel frame is sturdy and carries up to 150 kilos. That is enough for a heavy door or a pile of planks.
When you are done, fold the bench in two moves. It becomes a flat package of ten centimeters. Hang it on the wall of the shed or slide it behind the car in the garage.
Clean sawdust off the surface after use, so the two halves keep closing well.
The Hoogmaat tools in the toolbox, 89 pieces, are a good match.
