Description
The Veldhoek kettle holds 1.7 liters, enough to fill a teapot and still make a few cups of instant soup. With 2200 watt it brings 1.5 liters to the boil in a little over three minutes.
The heating element sits under a flat steel floor instead of in a coil at the bottom. Limescale can’t build up around a spiral, and you wipe the floor clean with a damp cloth. In an area with hard water, rinse the kettle once a week with a little vinegar and water to keep it bright.
The water window lights up blue while the kettle heats. You see how much water is inside from across the kitchen, and you don’t boil more than you need. That saves time and energy.
The kettle turns all the way round on its base, so it works for right-handed and left-handed people. It switches off by itself when the water boils, and it also switches off when it is empty, so it can’t boil dry.
The cord winds into the base, and the brushed steel hides fingerprints. Want something smaller for a small counter? See the electric kettle 1.0 liter, black.
