The Hoogmaat 18 volt tools all use the same battery system. One battery fits every tool. This is the large version, with a capacity of 4.0 Ah.
Capacity tells you how long a battery lasts. The batteries that come with the Hoogmaat cordless drill 18 volt are 2.0 Ah. This battery holds twice as much energy. It runs twice as long before you need to charge it.
That matters for big jobs. Building a deck, assembling a shed or drilling a row of holes for a fence takes a lot of power. With a 4.0 Ah battery, you work longer without breaks.
On the side is a button with four small lights. Press it, and the lights show how full the battery is. You see in advance if it will last for the next job.
The battery fits the Hoogmaat cordless drill 18 volt and the Hoogmaat cordless impact driver 18 volt. It charges in the charger that comes with the drill.
A larger battery is a little heavier. For overhead work, the smaller 2.0 Ah battery can be more comfortable.
Store batteries in a dry place at room temperature. Don’t leave them in a cold shed in winter.
