Description
The Zonnewende weather station shows you the climate inside and outside your home at a glance.
It has two parts. The outdoor sensor hangs outside, in the shade, out of the rain. It measures the temperature and the humidity and sends them to the indoor unit. The signal reaches up to 60 meters, through walls and windows. The sensor works down to minus twenty degrees.
The indoor unit has a clear display. It shows the temperature inside and outside, and the humidity inside and outside. It also shows how these have changed over the last twenty-four hours.
That helps with practical choices. Should you open the windows? When the air outside is drier than inside, airing helps against damp. When it is more humid outside, it is better to wait.
A healthy humidity indoors is between 40 and 60 percent. Higher, and mold can grow. Lower, and the air feels dry.
Place the indoor unit away from a heater and out of direct sun, for correct readings.
It runs on batteries.
For a single room, see the digital indoor thermometer and hygrometer.
