Description
Washing windows goes faster and gives a better result with a squeegee. Instead of rubbing the glass dry, you pull the water off in clean strokes.
The squeegee has a rubber blade of 30 centimeters. The rubber is soft and flexible, so it follows the glass and leaves no water behind. It sits in a channel of stainless steel that keeps it perfectly straight.
Here is how to use it. Wash the window with a cloth or a washer and soapy water. Then start at the top corner. Pull the squeegee across the glass in one straight stroke. Wipe the blade on a cloth. Start the next stroke a little lower, overlapping the first. At the end, dry the edges with a microfiber cloth.
The handle has a thread that fits most telescopic poles. With a pole, you can reach high windows and a conservatory roof from the ground.
A worn rubber blade leaves streaks. Replace it when that happens. The channel and handle last for years.
Rinse the blade after use and store it so the rubber doesn’t rest on anything.
For drying the edges: the microfiber window cloths, set of 2. For the shower: the shower squeegee.
