Description
A swim cap keeps hair out of your eyes, protects it from chlorine, and makes you a little faster in the water. This one is made of silicone.
Many swim caps are made of latex. Latex is thin and cheap, but it grips the hair. Pulling it on and off hurts, especially with long hair. Silicone is smooth. It glides over your hair and doesn’t pull.
Silicone is also thicker and stronger than latex. It stretches a lot to fit over your head and then returns to its original shape. It doesn’t tear as easily and lasts much longer.
For long hair, tie it in a low bun first. Hold the cap open with both hands, put it on from the front, and pull it back over your hair.
The cap keeps most of the water out. Your hair won’t stay completely dry, but it gets far less chlorine.
After swimming, rinse the cap in fresh water and let it dry. Dust it with a little talcum powder before you store it, so it doesn’t stick to itself.
The color is dark blue.
Good with the anti-fog swimming goggles and the men’s swim shorts.
