Description
Shoes in a pile by the door take up more space than shoes on a rack. This black steel rack holds nine pairs in a space of 70 by 30 centimeters.
The rack is only thirty centimeters deep. That is about the length of a shoe. It stands flat against a wall and leaves the hallway free to walk through.
There are three tiers. Each tier holds three pairs of adult shoes. Boots fit on the top tier, where there is no shelf above them.
The tiers are made of tubes, set at an angle. Shoes rest on the tubes with the heel down, so they don’t slide off. Sand and grit fall between the tubes to the bottom. Once a week, lift the rack and vacuum the floor beneath it.
The steel is powder coated. It doesn’t rust from wet shoes and wipes clean with a damp cloth.
Assembly needs no tools. The tubes slide into the sides and click in place. It takes about five minutes.
A coir doormat 40 x 60 at the door keeps most of the sand outside in the first place.
