Some clothes don’t like the washing machine. Tights get caught, bra hooks snag on sweaters, and fine knits stretch out of shape. A laundry bag protects them.
The set has three mesh bags in three sizes: 30 by 40, 40 by 50 and 50 by 60 centimeters. Use the small one for socks, tights and underwear. Use the middle one for blouses and shirts. Use the large one for a sweater or a dress.
The mesh is fine. Water and detergent flow through it freely, so the clothes inside get just as clean. But hooks, buttons and zips can’t reach other clothes, and other clothes can’t pull on them.
Each bag closes with a zip. The zip has a small cover that tucks over the pull. That stops it from opening in the machine and from catching on the mesh.
The bags are also handy for small items that get lost: baby socks, a hair band, or the laundry of a child at camp.
Don’t overfill a bag. Clothes need room to move to get clean.
Wash delicates on a gentle program and dry them flat.
