Description
With a normal screwdriver, you turn, let go, turn your hand back, grip again, and turn again. With a ratcheting screwdriver, you just turn back and forth. The ratchet does the rest.
A switch on the handle has three positions. Forward tightens screws. Backward loosens them. In the middle, the ratchet is locked and the screwdriver works like a normal one, which helps to break a tight screw loose.
The ratchet is useful in small spaces. Inside a cabinet or under a sink, there is often no room to turn your whole hand. A short back-and-forth movement is enough.
The handle holds 30 bits. Open the cap at the end, and they are all there: slotted, Phillips, Pozidriv, Torx and hex in the most common sizes. No separate box to lose.
The bit holder is magnetic, so the bit and the screw stay in place.
This is the screwdriver for assembling flat-pack furniture, hanging a shelf, or changing the batteries in a toy.
