Description
A cordless drill can drive screws, but long screws in hard wood are hard work for it. An impact driver is made for that job. The Hoogmaat cordless impact driver gives up to 180 Nm of torque.
When the screw gets tight, the impact driver starts to give short, fast blows in the direction of rotation. These blows drive the screw further without twisting your wrist. A drill would stall or jerk your hand.
That makes it the tool for building a deck, a shed, a fence or a pergola. It drives screws of ten or fifteen centimeters into hardwood without pre-drilling in many cases.
The tool is compact and short. It fits between joists and into corners where a drill doesn’t fit.
The bit holder takes standard hex bits. Push a bit in, and it locks. Pull the collar, and it comes out.
The impact driver runs on 18 volt batteries from Hoogmaat. It is sold without a battery and charger. If you have the Hoogmaat cordless drill 18 volt, you already have two batteries that fit. Otherwise, add the Hoogmaat battery 18 volt 4.0 Ah.
Use the drill for drilling holes and the impact driver for driving screws.
Wear the clear safety glasses when you work.
