Description
Farmyard Gang is a family game about building a farm. Each player starts with a few animals and tries to collect a complete farm.
On your turn, you roll the dice to get new animals. Then you can trade with the other players or with the bank. Two rabbits for a sheep, three sheep for a pig. Trading well is the key to winning. Luck plays a part too, because the dice can bring a fox that takes your rabbits.
The game mixes luck with a little math. Children practice counting and simple exchange rates without noticing. Adults enjoy the trading and the talk at the table.
A game takes about twenty minutes. That is short enough to play on a school night, after dinner and before bed. And it is short enough to play twice.
The rules fit on one card. You can explain the game in a few minutes and start playing. No thick rule book.
The game is for 2 to 5 players, from 6 years.
The box holds a game board, animal cards, wooden pieces and dice.
Also fun for game night: the Farmyard Swap card game and the dominoes in a tin box.
