Description
A puzzle with knobs is the very first puzzle for a toddler. This Kriebelbeest puzzle has six farm animals: a cow, a pig, a sheep, a horse, a chicken and a dog.
Each animal is a separate wooden piece with a small knob on top. A one-year-old can’t pick up a flat puzzle piece yet. With a knob, they grip it between thumb and finger and lift it out. That trains the pincer grip, which they need later for drawing and eating.
Under each piece, the board shows the same animal. When the cow comes out, a cow remains in the board. Children learn to match shape and picture and find the right place.
Name the animals and their sounds together. A puzzle is also a way to learn words.
The puzzle is made of wood. The edges are rounded and smooth. The paint is child-safe, so it is no problem when a piece ends up in a mouth.
The board is sturdy and doesn’t bend.
From 1 year.
When a child is older, the puzzle 500 pieces for kids and the jigsaw puzzle 1000 pieces, Dutch skies, are the next steps. The farm animal play set fits the same theme.
