Description
A helmet is the most important protection on a bike. This one is light, cool and easy to adjust, so you actually want to wear it.
The helmet has a hard outer shell over a layer of foam. In a fall, the foam absorbs the impact and protects your head. The shell spreads the force and helps the helmet slide on the road instead of catching.
It weighs 290 grams. After a few minutes, you hardly feel it.
Eighteen air openings let air flow over your head. On a warm day, your head stays cool.
At the back is an adjustment dial. Turn it to tighten or loosen the helmet. It should fit snugly without pressing. The chin strap closes with a buckle and adjusts under your ear.
A small rear light is built into the back. It runs on a battery and blinks or stays on. Cars see you from behind in the dark.
Choose size M for a head of 54 to 58 centimeters, or L for 58 to 61 centimeters. Measure just above your eyebrows.
Replace a helmet after a fall, even if it looks fine.
