Description
A trowel is the spade of the border and the plant pot. You use it to plant, to fill pots, to dig up a weed with deep roots, and to mix compost into the soil.
The blade of this trowel is forged steel. Forged steel is denser and stronger than steel cut from a sheet. It doesn’t bend when you lever out a stone or dig into dry clay. The point is sharp and goes into hard soil easily.
The blade is slightly curved, like a scoop. It holds soil when you lift it and pours it neatly into a pot.
The handle is made of ash wood. Ash is strong, light and smooth. It feels warm in your hand and gives a good grip, also with garden gloves on.
The trowel is 30 centimeters long in total.
At the end of the handle is a leather loop. Hang the trowel on a hook in the shed, next to the other tools.
After use, knock off the soil and wipe the blade dry. A drop of oil before winter keeps it from rusting.
It is made in the same way as the hand hoe with ash handle. Together, they handle almost all the small work in a border.
Kneel on the garden kneeling pad for comfort.
