Description
A yoga mat needs to do two things: cushion and grip. This mat does both.
The mat is 6 millimeters thick. Thinner mats are fine for standing poses, but your knees and hips feel the floor in kneeling and lying poses. Thicker mats cushion more, but you sink into them and lose your balance. Six millimeters sits in between: soft enough for your knees, firm enough for balance.
The surface has a fine texture that grips your hands and feet. When you sweat in a dynamic class, your hands stay in place in a downward dog. The bottom grips the floor, so the mat doesn’t slide.
The mat measures 183 by 61 centimeters. That gives room for most people to lie down fully.
After use, roll it up and buckle the carrying strap around it. Sling it over your shoulder to take it to class.
Clean the mat with a damp cloth and a little mild soap. Let it dry fully before you roll it up.
The color is petrol, a calm blue green.
Add the cork yoga block for poses where the floor is too far away.
