Description
A cotton bath mat is soft but needs regular washing. A wooden bath mat needs almost no care. It dries by itself in minutes.
This mat is made of acacia wood. Acacia is a hard wood that resists water well. It is used for outdoor furniture and kitchen tools for that reason.
The mat is made of slats with small gaps between them. When you step on it with wet feet, the water runs through the gaps to the floor. Your feet stand on the dry wood. The wood feels warmer than tiles.
Under the mat are small rubber feet. They keep it stable, so it doesn’t slide, and they lift it a little off the floor. Air flows underneath, and both the mat and the floor dry quickly.
It measures 50 by 80 centimeters.
The look is natural and calm, like a sauna or a spa. It works well with towels in sand, white or sage green.
Wipe the mat dry now and then, and stand it up against the wall after a long bath. Once or twice a year, rub it with a little oil to keep the wood from drying out.
Don’t leave it in standing water.
For a soft mat, choose the cotton bath mat 60 x 90.
