Description
Even in a time of power tools, a good hand saw is indispensable. It is quiet, needs no power, and is often quicker for a single cut.
This saw has a steel blade of 50 centimeters. That is long enough for planks, beams and thick branches. A long blade means long strokes, and long strokes saw faster.
The teeth are hardened. Hardened teeth stay sharp up to five times longer than normal teeth. The saw has 7 teeth per inch, a good all-round size for soft and hard wood.
The teeth are ground to cut on both the push and the pull stroke. Most of the work is done in both directions, so you finish faster and with less effort.
The handle is made of two layers: a hard core and a soft grip. It fits your hand and doesn’t slip.
At the point where the handle meets the blade, there are two straight edges: one at ninety degrees and one at forty-five degrees. Place the handle against the edge of a plank, and you can draw a straight line for your cut.
Start a cut with a few short pull strokes, then use long strokes.
Use the folding workbench to hold the wood steady.
