Description

Spices in a cupboard get lost. You buy a new jar of cumin, and later find two old ones at the back. A spice rack on the wall keeps all your spices in view.

This rack has three narrow shelves of bamboo. Each shelf has a rail at the front that keeps the jars from sliding off.

The rack is 40 centimeters wide and 50 centimeters high. It holds about twenty-four standard spice jars, eight on each shelf.

The rack is only eight centimeters deep. Mounted on the wall, it doesn’t take up counter space and you don’t bump into it.

Mount it near the stove, but not right above it. Heat and steam make spices lose their flavor faster. A spot to the side of the stove, out of direct sunlight, is ideal.

You can also place it on the counter, against the wall.

Arrange the spices in a way that works for you: in alphabetical order, by cuisine, or by how often you use them.

Bamboo is strong and resists moisture. Wipe it clean with a damp cloth.

Mounting materials for a solid wall are included.

For cupboards, see the bamboo drawer organizer, set of 3, which handles the rest of the kitchen.
