Description
Painting with watercolors is a calm, creative activity for children. This set has everything they need to start.
The box has 24 pans of watercolor in bright colors. There are reds, yellows, blues, greens, browns, black and white. Children learn that blue and yellow make green and that red and white make pink.
Two brushes come with the set: a thick one for large areas and a thin one for details.
The inside of the lid has small wells. Use them to mix colors without making the pans muddy.
Here is how to start. Wet the brush, rub it over a color, and paint. More water gives a lighter color, less water a stronger color. Rinse the brush in a glass of water between colors.
The paint is water-based. It washes off hands and out of most clothes. Even so, an old shirt over clothing is a good idea.
Use thick paper. Thin paper curls and tears when it gets wet. Special watercolor paper or thick drawing paper works best.
Let the paint pans dry with the lid open after use.
From 4 years.
On a sunny day, the sidewalk chalk, 20 pieces, takes creativity outside.
