Description
A wool rug makes a room warmer, quieter and more welcoming. This one is woven by hand from new wool.
New wool means wool that has not been used before. It is soft, springy and strong.
Wool absorbs sound. In a room with a hard floor, voices and footsteps echo. A large rug calms that down. The room feels quieter at once.
Wool also feels warm. On a tiled or concrete floor, the difference under a bare foot is big.
The pile is short. A long pile looks soft but shows every footprint and collects crumbs. A short pile stays neat and is easy to clean. Vacuum it once a week with an ordinary vacuum cleaner.
The rug measures 160 by 230 centimeters. That size fits under a coffee table with the front legs of a sofa on it, or under a dining table for four.
It is heavy enough to lie flat on most floors. On smooth tiles, an anti-slip mat underneath keeps it from shifting.
Wool naturally resists dirt. Blot spills at once with a dry cloth; don’t rub.
Turn the rug every six months, so it wears evenly.
