Description
Dogs and cats lose hair, especially in spring and autumn. Brushing them often removes the loose hair before it ends up on your sofa, your clothes and your floor.
The brush has fine steel pins. They go through the coat and pick up loose hair and small tangles. The tips are rounded, so they don’t scratch your pet’s skin.
Brushing also spreads the natural oils of the skin through the coat. That makes it shiny and healthy.
Most pets enjoy being brushed once they are used to it. It is also a good moment to check for ticks, lumps or small wounds.
Brush in the direction the hair grows, with short strokes. Start at the head and work toward the tail. For tangles, hold the hair near the skin with your fingers and brush the end loose, so you don’t pull.
How often? Short-haired dogs and cats once a week. Long-haired animals every day or two.
The handle is beech wood. It feels warm and sits well in your hand.
To clean the brush, pull the hair off the pins after each use.
Brush outside, or on an old towel, to keep the hair out of the house.
