Description
A litter box is a daily part of life with a cat. A covered box keeps it cleaner and less smelly.
The hood covers the box. Cats like privacy when they use the toilet, and many cats prefer a covered box. The hood also stops litter from being kicked out onto the floor.
At the front is a swinging door. Your cat pushes it open to go in and out. If your cat doesn’t like the door at first, take it off for a week and put it back later.
In the roof is a carbon filter. Carbon absorbs odors. Replace the filter every two to three months.
The hood lifts off with two clips. Scoop the box once or twice a day, and replace all the litter once a week. Wash the box with hot water and a mild soap. Avoid strong-smelling cleaners: cats may refuse a box that smells of chemicals.
The box measures 52 by 40 centimeters and is 39 centimeters high. That is roomy enough for large cats to turn around.
Place the box in a quiet spot, away from food and water bowls.
A mat in front of the door catches litter from your cat’s paws.
